horizon

As beautiful as the sunset is, it draws my eyes only to the horizon...and glorious as that line between earth and sky may be on this very evening, it is still only as lofty as it was created to be. Eternal, though, is Your Word. Your Love, Your Name, Your Faithfulness, YOU are higher than I can comprehend. Lift my eyes to these heights then, O Lord, lest they see this temporal reflection and be satisfied.
